#Openoffice turn off auto numbering how to
After finagling around a bit trying to find out how to remove these blank pages based on where and how I add breaks and page numbering, I discovered the easy solution. It is controlled under: Tools > Options > Writer > Table > Input in tables > Number recognition. It is turned on or off with the AutoValue property for the field. Mostly what I print from word processors are contracts, memos, faxes, and letters, so the whole book format doesn’t matter to me and the blank pages are basically just a royal pain. If you fiddle with the page numbering or page breaks, you may find yourself with blank pages inserted to “help” you keep your “book”‘s odd/even pages properly lined up. Click and cancel the Number recognition box. In order to cancel the number recognition function, follow the steps below: Go to Tools Options. If you type 03292011, Apache OpenOffice will omit the leading zero. Libre- and OpenOffice do this because of their insistence upon interpreting every document as a “book”, with left and right pages. If you type in a table, Apache OpenOffice will display 03/29/11 instead.

These insidious pages won’t show until you go to print the document.

AND, AutoCAD should not convert lines after auto-lettering has been disabled. Why does AutoCAD support up to six-letters for auto-lettering? This should be no more than two.

I realize this is an old post, but I just ran into an auto-lettering issue today. I had the same issue with rounding numbers after decimal point.
